Turkish Pizza

Lahmacun - a thin base topped with a flavourful mixture of ground meat, tomato, onion, and spices.

INGREDIENTS

  • 300g raw lamb mince

  • 3 cloves garlic, diced

  • 2 Tbsp fresh parsley, diced

  • 1 Tbsp tomato paste

  • ½ red onion, finely diced

  • ½ tsp of each smoked paprika, ground paprika, cumin seeds, & ground coriander

  • 2 large Farrah wraps

  • 2 handfuls of rocket

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil

  • Juice of half a lemon

  • 1 tomato, sliced

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

METHOD

  1. Pre-heat oven to 200 degrees fan bake.

  2. In a mixing bowl, add mince, garlic, parsley, tomato paste, 1/2 of the onion mixture (setting aside half for the garnish) and spices. Mix until well combined. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. Divide the mince mixture in half and press onto each wrap.

  4. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes or until the mince is cooked through and the wrap is crispy.

  5. While the wrap is cooking, mix rocket with the lemon juice and olive oil. Add the sliced tomato and onion. Season with salt and pepper.

  6. Top each pizza with the salad mixture and serve immediately.
