“Parent and Child Donburi” - chicken and egg.

INGREDIENTS

  • 0.5g dashi stock powder

  • 1/2 cup of water

  • 1/2 Tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tsp olive oil

  • 80g cooked shredded chicken

  • 1 spring onion, green part - diced

  • 2 whole eggs

  • 120g cooked rice

  • Spring onion, chopped to garnish

METHOD

1. In a medium pan, fry off the chicken with the spring onion.

2. Add dashi powder, water, and soy sauce to the pan and bring to the boil.

3. In a small bowl, lightly beat the eggs. Pour the beaten egg over the top, and simmer, covered for 2-3 minutes, until cooked but slightly runny.

4. Serve your Oyakodon over freshly cooked rice and garnish with chopped spring onion.
