Maple & Blueberry Smoothie Bowl
Quick. Simple. Nutritious. Making the most of what’s left of summer… A great throw together breakfast that can be adapted to whatever you have in the pantry.
INGREDIENTS
Smoothie
160 high protein yogurt (I used Kalo from Meadow Fresh)
1/2 banana
100g frozen blueberries
1/2 serve whey protein
50mls lite blue milk (or milk of your choice)
30mls sugar free maple syrup.
Toppings:
1/2 banana, sliced
50g fresh or frozen blueberries
5g walnuts, roughly chopped
1 tsp chia seeds
1 tsp shredded coconut
15mls sugar free maple syrup
METHOD
Prepare all ingredients before starting the smoothie.
To make the smoothie, place all “smoothie” ingredients into a blender. Blend on high for 30-60sec. Smoothie should be thick in consistency, similar to yogurt. Add a dash more milk if needed and continue blending until consistency is met.
To serve, place the smoothie into a breakfast bowl and top with the remaining ingredients.
