Maple & Blueberry Smoothie Bowl

Quick. Simple. Nutritious. Making the most of what’s left of summer… A great throw together breakfast that can be adapted to whatever you have in the pantry.

INGREDIENTS

Smoothie

  • 160 high protein yogurt (I used Kalo from Meadow Fresh)

  • 1/2 banana

  • 100g frozen blueberries

  • 1/2 serve whey protein

  • 50mls lite blue milk (or milk of your choice)

  • 30mls sugar free maple syrup.

Toppings:

  • 1/2 banana, sliced

  • 50g fresh or frozen blueberries

  • 5g walnuts, roughly chopped

  • 1 tsp chia seeds

  • 1 tsp shredded coconut

  • 15mls sugar free maple syrup

METHOD

  1. Prepare all ingredients before starting the smoothie.

  2. To make the smoothie, place all “smoothie” ingredients into a blender. Blend on high for 30-60sec. Smoothie should be thick in consistency, similar to yogurt. Add a dash more milk if needed and continue blending until consistency is met.

  3. To serve, place the smoothie into a breakfast bowl and top with the remaining ingredients.
